This was the sign-on (or “opening spot”) for television station JOTX-TV, Channel 12 in Tokyo, Japan, known today as TV Tokyo.
I think this may very well date back to the middle part of the 1980s.
A similar version of the sign-on was previously available on YouTube before it was removed.
Also, notice the fonts used: Verdana in the title cards, and STAR 4 used in the explanation and overlapping.
The STAR 4 font is based on The Weather Channel’s WeatherStar 4000 forecasting unit.

From the local paper in Linton-After studying video art at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, Shawn Quinlan, a 1981 Linton-Stockton High School graduate, began filming a documentary about Linton, which is now able to be view online.Quinlan’s documentary was one of his first attempts at making and editing a video.”It shows, but everyone that views it seems to get something out of it and enjoys it,” Quinlan said.The documentary can be viewed by visiting www.shawnquinlan.com and clicking on the “Youtube” icon.

There are three parts of the video, which total about 20 minutes.Quinlan lived in Pittsburgh, Penn., until his sophomore year of high school when his mother remarried and moved to Linton.”Linton was very different from what I was used to, and it was a difficult transition,” he said.After high school graduation, Quinlan returned to Pittsburgh to attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.In 1987, he bought a video camera.”So, in the late ’80s early ’90s when I would go back to Linton on visits I would take my camera and shoot video,” he said.
“The ‘You’ll Like Linton’ sign was the big inspiration and a great jumping off point to go out with the camera and interview people or, maybe more accurately, accost people on the street and ask them, ‘What do you like about Linton?’.”Quinlan said there wasn’t much planning for the video, which was filmed during visits to Linton between 1989 and 1992.
He noted that he was assisted in interviewing by his mother, Linda Kennedy and his friend, Todd Price.”I discovered a lot about Linton and its citizens while making the video that I never realized before.
It really gave me a new appreciation for the town,” he said.
“It is a some what silly but sincere take on a small town I lived in; although amateur in nature it is entertaining.
Also, there are people and places in the video that are no longer around and will continue to be remembered because of it.”Quinlan, who resides in Pittsburgh, is a video editor at the local ABC television network affiliate WTAE-TV.
He’s also a fiber artist who’s had his work shown in New York City, Germany, France and Australia.
In 2005, he won the Carnegie Museum of Art Purchase Award at the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh 95th annual exhibition held at the Andy Warhol Museum.

We identified an interesting, timely offer on the CommissionJunction affiliate network with a payout of $15.00 per conversion.

The offer was centered around a main keyword; let’s say it’s a 2-word keyphrase which we’ll call the “seed” keyword.
3.
We dropped the seed into the HexaTrack keyword tool, which yielded a few dozen “short tail” keywords…
those are the seed keyword plus one additional word, or two at the most.
4.
We gambled a little money in Google and ran a test with these keywords.
Remember, Hexatrack faithfully tracks which keywords ACTUALLY lead to conversions…
5.
We ran these “short tail” keywords as broad matches…
i.e.
if a user enters a phrase that’s LONGER than the short tail phrase, it’s still a match.

So how do we actually make those people come to us? Before I answer this question, here is a rule for you to remember and start applying.Don’t ever pitch your deal.
Don’t ever again try to sell someone on your Network Marketing business opportunity or product unless they ask about it.You might be thinking that this is insane and that nothing ever will happen with your business, but this is not true.
You see on the Internet there is a “3 foot rule” as well.
You are practically 3 feet away from the entire world and everyone who might be a fit for you.Every day people who are a part of each of these three target groups are researching and trying to find information about your product, your network marketing business opportunity, or how to build their current network marketing business more effectively.So ask yourself what really is these people’s problem, what questions do they have.
